Independent Greek Council

IGC Council

The Independent Greek Council (IGC) at UNC Charlotte serves as the governing council for any independent fraternity/sorority social groups, officially registered by the University and not a member of any other UNC Charlotte governing council. This council serves as a liaison between the member organizations, the Fraternity and Sorority community, and the University in issues that are of common interest to the affiliate groups.

HOW TO JOIN AN IGC ORGANIZATION:

All students who want to join a fraternity or sorority must have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.60. Each IGC organization is unique in their membership recruitment process. For chapter specific information, please contact the president.

REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN AN IGC ORGANIZATION:

Each organization has its own requirements set by their (inter)national organization and UNC Charlotte chapter. Please contact the UNC Charlotte chapter that you are interested in to find out their requirements.
