  • In order to return to campus, the chapter must regain recognition per the Recognition Guidelines set by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and determine a desired return date with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. The Recognition Guidelines can be found at http://os_extranet_files_test.s3.amazonaws.com/11716_17136_UNCCharlotteRecognitionGuidelines.pdf.
  • The national/international organization must send at least one professional staff member to assist with the recolonization, new member recruitment, and new member education process of the chapter upon its return to campus. Any chapter alumni involved in the recolonization, new member recruitment, and new member education process must be screened and approved by the national/international organization.
  • Any chapter alumni involved in chapter management upon completion of the recolonization process must be screened and approved by the national/international organization.
  • For two calendar years after returning to campus, chapter leadership must meet with Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life staff at least once per semester to discuss current trends and issues within the chapter and resources available on campus.

  • Revise the Chapter Risk Management Policy and Procedures document to be approved by Ryan Lugabihl, Associate Director of Risk Management with specific focus in Alcohol Related Events.
  • Risk Management Policy Presentation completed by the chapter with at least 80% total chapter attendance. The content of the presentation will need to be reviewed by Director of SCAI James Lorello and Director of OFSL, Michelle Guobadia
  • Revision of sober driver policy approved by Ryan Lugabihl, Associate Director of Risk Management. The content of this revision will need to be reviewed by Director of SCAI James Lorello and Director of OFSL, Michelle Guobadia
  • New Member Education presentation on community building and expectations to reinforce the purpose of New Member Education.
